The origin story of Tea, Leaves, and Toe Beans
The idea for Tea, Leaves, and Toe Beans began one rainy day when I was sitting at my desk with a warm mug of English Breakfast tea, a pile of books, and my sweet kitty Bodhi sleeping in her bed alongside me. I was thinking about writing, and community, and then there was a moment when Bodhi stretched out, and I could see her toe beans. (I have a “thing” for feline toe beans; they always make me smile, and I can get ridiculously excited about them.)
The name of this Substack flowed instantly into my mind, and I loved the cadence of it — so here it be, and here I am.
I’m Heather, also known as Heathwitch (she/her), and I’m someone who loves — in no particular order — books, cats, words, witchcraft, tea, spirituality, reading, meditation, journaling, music, stationery, dragons, and Taylor Swift. 🧡
And so, that’s exactly what you’ll get here — a combination of all those interests, and perhaps a few more, to create a unique place where we can share ideas, experiences, and companionship no matter which group(s) of my readership you fall into:
